Since our last update in July, we are pleased to report continued progress on site, with our team on schedule to complete our works onsite in 2027. Works in zones 5 & 4 have now been completed and handed over to CCR Energy with Erith continuing works in Zones 1,2,3.

CCR Energy are proud to share the final report of the Agri-Food Technology Challenge, looking at the repurposing of the former Aberthaw power station into a centre for Agri-Tech excellence while supporting research, industry, and public engagement.

Since our last update in November 2024, we are pleased to report continued progress on site.
Works within Zone 5 of the site are on track for completion in September 2025, at which point the area will be ready for handover to CCR Energy.

CCR Energy successfully achieved key strategic goals outlined in the 2023/2024 business plan, marking the start of our journey to a low carbon future.

Since our previous letter in June 2024, our demolition management plan approved in October 2024 from the Vale of Glamorgan Council to demolish the power station.
