When CCR Energy received a much-coveted invite to this year’s MIPIM Conference, we felt both privileged and hugely excited to attend the largest real estate event in the world.
The invitation to join the Cardiff Capital Region delegation gave us a global platform to showcase the inspirational – and diverse – investment opportunities that will emerge over the next few years at our 500-acre Aberthaw brownfield site, which is set to become home to some of the UK’s most innovative enterprises in sustainable energy and advanced manufacturing.
A wide range of sustainable opportunities for innovative enterprises
The catalytic MIPIM conference enabled us to play our part in something very close to our hearts – helping convey the wide range of high-return and sustainable commercial opportunities on offer in the unique economy of South East Wales.
Both of those visions – for a revolutionary energy-centric hub of sustainable climate friendly enterprises at Aberthaw; and a greener, cleaner, more prosperous capital region – go hand in hand.
Our ambition for Aberthaw is to create a centre of green energy production and sustainable industry that will help power our region – creating high-quality jobs, generating greater GVA, and delivering real social value for local communities.
Part of that transformation will see us attract significant investment – and help energise enterprise across a region that’s home to half the Welsh population, and responsible for 50% of the economic output of Wales.
The warm welcome we received – and incredible engagement achieved – at this year’s MIPIM has given us a glimpse of the potential we possess at Aberthaw.
Now we’re focused on realising those game-changing possibilities; playing a major part in delivering a more resilient, sustainable and prosperous future for everyone in South East Wales – and beyond.
